For early childhood professionals. Attend this fun workshop and get hands-on, outdoor activities designed to use children's natural abilities to discover, explore, and experience the outdoor world.
Guided activities help children to observe, listen, identify, classify, make sensory comparisons, and communicate, as well as develop cognitive, social, physical, and auditory skills.
Participants get a music CD and the PLT Environmental Experiences for Early Childhood book (winner of the Teachers Choice award from Parenting magazine), which contains 11 thematic units that include activities on music/movement, reading/writing, snack, art, outdoor play, math/manipulatives, woodworking, and family connections.
Participants get: books, music CDs, posters, snacks, and 3 CEUs.
Some activities will be outdoors, so dress for the weather.
This workshop is sponsored by the Twin Cities Hoo Hoo club, a forest products society.
